Beef with Broccoli

A quick and easy traditional beef with broccoli recipe perfect for the entire family.


  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1 lb sirloin
  • tri tip
  • flank or skirt steak steak
  • 14 oz broccoli florets
  • 3 tsp vegetable oil


  1. In a small bowl whist together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Slice steak into 2x1 inch strips. Place steak in Ziplock bag and pour in half of the sauce mixture. Seal bag and shake to coat. Allow to marinate for 20 minutes.
  3. Whisk together cornstarch and water then add mixture to remaining sauce mixture.
  4. Preheat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 3 teaspoons of oil and beef. Cook for approximately 4 minutes.
  5. Add broccoli and cook for another 4 minutes.
  6. Make a well in the center and pour in the remaining sauce. Cook for a couple minutes or until sauce is thick. Fold ingredients together until everything is evenly coated with sauce.
  7. Serve over rice. Enjoy.
